| | | LORENZO DE' MEDICI INTERNATIONAL CHORAL FESTIVAL is open to choirs of all ages and typology offering 11 different competititive and non competitive categories. The main aim of the Festival is to create a great opportunity for cultural exchange between the different geographical and artistic traditions of the participating countries – music is an excellent vehicle for sharing knowledge and friendship among peoples. Our motto is “Prima La Musica”, “Music First”: final concerts with all choirs singing together, renowned guest Conductors, only internationally recognized Juries, avaiable for exciting workshops. And also: cash prizes, special prizes, perfectly tuned Grand Piano in all venues, professional video and audio recordings, stage rehearsals for all participants. | | | | | | The Festival concept is focused on the person of Lorenzo De’ Medici, called “Il Magnifico”, the Magnificent, and of his family, the House of Medici, one of most influential families in the History, Governors of the City of Florence from 15th to 18th Century. He contributed more than anyone to the flowering of Florentine genius in the late 15th century, supporting such giants as Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo.
