Greetings all SACS members and choral enthusiasts,

At the Annual General Meeting of the South African Choral Society on 1
April 2006, the Executive Committee was tasked with giving the
society's existing constitution a drastic overview.

The Executive Committee has started from the beginning. We invite you
to comment on the spirit and wording of the proposed new Vision
Statement for SACS:

1. VISION

A SOCIETY UNITED IN DIVERSITY OF HARMONY

This vision is better put into context when read in conjunction with
the proposed Mission Statement for SACS:

2. MISSION

The South African Choral Society will continuously strive for the
creation of a conducive environment for the upliftment of relevant and
contextual quality musical standard, towards lifelong growth and
empowerment of all members and other music lovers through:
· Creation of opportunities for learning and appreciation of diverse
musical cultures
· Cost effective management of resources and quality administration
that continuously grows its membership
· Advancement of relevant benefits for its members through creative
strategic partnerships
· Contribution towards unity of purpose and fun in singing
