The Lexington Singers have been performing major works in central Kentucky and around the world for 60 years, making it one of the longest continuously performing independent community choral groups in America. Based in Lexington, Kentucky, The Lexington Singers currently comprises five choirs with over 300 voices and provides opportunities for children, youth and adults.
As part of The Lexington Singers’ mission to represent the best of Kentucky outside the Commonwealth, special concert tours beyond our borders have always been important, beginning with concerts in the 1960s in Cincinnati, just across the Ohio River, and the group’s Carnegie Hall debut in New York. And The Lexington Singers’ first European tour was during the group’s fifteenth season, in Romania.
