Hi friends,
Since I am in Onsite assignment for the past 6 months I couldn't join any of your trips. I miss a lot… I use to see all your mails and feel jealous for missing such trips. While being in Chennai, even I trekked to Parvadha malai, kolli malai, and many more places which you all might know. But all these days, I was expecting you people to say about one more interesting place "Sadasiva konam" which is near puttur. Since you people use to say all the places which I visited, I thought you might also say about this.
Since none has spoken about this, I thought of suggesting you a trip to that place. It is next to Puttur, few Kms from the puttur bypass. You can ask the local people for the way to the spot, they can guide you. You can also find a Board about the Sadasiva konam point, on right side of the high way (while going towards tirupathi). You need to take right at that board and need to travel few Kms from highway to base of mountain. It takes nearly 3 to 4 hrs to reach the spot in the hill (Better to get the guidance about the path from local people, coz many paths divide on the way to the spot which leads to other side of mountain).
There we have a small waterfalls and natural springs. It also has Lord Shiva temple in the top and caves, we have to crawl down the caves to go in (a new experience of crawling such small caves). We cans stay in the temple corridor for the night.
I followed the below schedule for the trip which was comfortable. Hope it will be fine even for you people. (Started from the city early morning, reached the mountain base in noon. Had the lunch in mountain base and started the trekking around 1pm. Reached the spot around 5 pm. Spent the night in the corridor. Had a beautiful morning. And the next day started around 10am. Reached the base post noon. Then had lunch in puttur and back to city in evening).
Also you need to check with the seasons of the falls. Am not much familiar coz I have been there only once. If anybody knows more about that place, kindly help by giving details.
(Note: As I couldn't point out the exact spot in the map, I have just drawn round the spot in the map. Kindly find attached the map which shows the route from puttur to the sadasiva konam).
Many Thanks
