The men and women behind Chennai Coastal Cleanup

The 6th edition of the Chennai Coastal Cleanup was one of the largest events organized in CTC’s entire history. Numerous like-minded souls with a shared passion for the environment and a vision for a green future worked tirelessly behind the scenes for 2 months to make it a big success. In this email I wish to recognize a few of our key contributors. Apologies upfront if I missed out anyone among these hundreds of volunteers:
Personalities from Mission CCC/6
Siva – One of CTC’s most selfless and tireless volunteers behind the scenes, driving force in our green team. Siva took care of a myriad of things day & night in CCC
Vinod Sundar – Main coordinator for registrations, working with corporates and participating groups, event mailers, involved in numerous aspects of the event
Nambi – driving force behind our youth awareness programs in schools through drawing competitions
Sinthu - took full responsibility for CCC’s awareness programs . Member of the flash mob, writing articles, etc.
Abirami – organized awareness programs in schools through drawing competitions, coordinated with Chennai Corporation for Marina wall paintings
Manoj – creative Davinci who created beautiful artworks, videos, mug designs, posters as part of our ongoing awareness
#NoPlasticChallenge – the awareness campaign which went viral on the social media. Original idea came from Lakshmi Narayanan and was further refined/enhanced/executed by Vinod Sankaran Rathnam Vinoth also roped in our radio partner.
Thilak - Media & Permissions
Ra.Aravind – coordinated with 10 regional NGOs and 9 cities across South India who joined forces alongside mission CCC under the India Clean Sweep umbrella campaign
Designers – Rajiv, Yazar, Shaik Hameed created numerous impactful designs, posters, banners which help us in carrying our message to the public
Kannan from ePageMaker provided his office space as a frequently visited venue for our ongoing planning meetings and practice for the flash mob teams
Deepak & Gupta – helped us in getting permission for the Flash Mob in Express Avenue Mall
Murugesan – provided lot of support, sponsorship, permissions
Aarthi – individually took interest in creating posters and printing them
Chithra – ever active & energetic girl with lots of enthusiasm & cheering others, active member of flash mob and contributor to other initiatives
