B2M- Bodi to Munnar - May 7-8, 2011

Hi all, We are heading to the western ghats this time. We would start the trek from base of Bodinayakkanur 'Bodi' on Saturday morning and reach Munnar Top Station by the end of the day. 

We would trek along further along leech infected tea estates the following day to a nearby peak with an amazing view of neighboring Anaimudi Peak. This is a moderate+ trek and we expect participants to have completed at least one moderate trek with CTC. 

You would be required to report at Friday night at CMBT, Koyambedu. The timing would be shared with selected participants once tickets are booked. 

 Agenda: 

Friday evening : Leave Chennai by bus 

Sat morning: Reach Bodi and start the trek after breakfast 

Sat 3pm: Reach Top Station and have lunch 

Sat 6pm: Reach base camp, rest with leeches all around and have dinner 

Sun 6am: Start trek towards Peak 

Sun 12: Reach the peak 

Sun 3pm: Return to base camp and have lunch 

Sun 7pm: Reach Bodi and catch the bus back to Chennai 

Mon early morning: Reach Chennai 

 Things to carry: 

1 Backpack 

Rs.2000/- Trek Expense + Rs.1000/- Reserve 

2l of water bottle with water 

1 sleeping mat (Compulsory for non swimmers)

1 blanket or sleeping bag 

1 set of extra clothes 

Camera 

Volunteering Spirit 

 We may require registered members to pay advance for booking tickets, so please be ready with Rs.1500/- to transfer online or deposit to organizer's account anytime post registration. What makes CTC special apart from the treks are the friendships that we develop over the course of the trek that stay on for life. So, please leave ego at home while leaving.
