Rivers and Lake beds are the birth place of human civilization and so is the importance of these water bodies which play a vital role in our daily life affecting the ground water and climatic conditions. Its now time to conserve the water bodies around us for a sustainable tomorrow.

Chennai Trekking Club joins hands with

Environmentalist Foundation of India
(EFI - http://www.indiaenvironment.org/ ) to cleanup and restore Adambakkam lake in the South side of our City. We invite you to be participate in

Phase 4
of this weekday clean-up effort by spending just few hours of your early morning to sound the societal and environmental cause.

Our task would involve cleaning up the garbage segregated around the lake bund and piling up at the common area for the Corporation to collect and dispose it safe. We will provide you the Gloves,Collection bags and Rakes for the clean-up.

50 green warriors are joining tomorrow mornings cleanup / restoration of the Adabmakkam lake near Velachery. 

Rivers and Lake beds are the birth place of human civilization. Chennai is / was surrounded by hundreds of lakes which play a vital role in our daily life affecting the ground water and climatic conditions. It is essential we conserve these water bodies around us for a sustainable tomorrow.
