Oh wat fun, will it to be, on CTC's Christmas sleigh !!!
Have you ever felt that you wanted to dress like a Santa Claus??? A special moment, feeling a satisfaction , a feeling that you have settled all your debts to to where you belong ???
Here is an oppurtunity to step into his shoes.
As the Curtains come down on 2009….don’t ever think it’s another regular year going by…….Coz CTC offers you an Privileged Opportunity to remember this year with an UNFORGETTABLE DAY!!
Only an Selected few are gonna experience this Heady Combo of Trek / Entertainment / Social Service / Fun unlimited with CTC’s ELEVENTH Social Trek with a cause' Kids' trek on 26 December 2009, Saturday.
Our Santa's will be... :
1. The participation will be limited as it’s a social Trek.
2. Only those with a passion for Social Service and love for the Underprivileged kids need join.
3. Every participant becomes an Active Volunteer and should be ready to do any work which may arise.
4. Volunteers will provide Guidance, Entertainment and sponsor (share transportation/food costs for kids) the trek.
5. Every Volunteer should come prepared with something special to entertain the kids!!
6. We invite ideas for games / entertainment. Entertainers will be given preference(A seperate mail thread will be created).
About Children's Home:
This home run by Saraswathi Ammal Chariatable home is for orphan children. There are a total of 84 Kids and they are been educated at an nearby school. We can take around 30 to 40 kids depending upon our participation strength.
We will pick up the kids from the home in Korattur on Saturday morning 7.00 am, take them to Nagala, guide them along with the initial canal stream, let them splash in the first pool, play games, have lunch, Entertainment shows, Snacks Time and then return to Korattur home around 7pm.
Trek Highlights: NEVER BEFORE…NEVER AGAIN GRANDEUR – Special for Christmas / New Year!!
1. Participation of Santa Claus(who is it gonna be???) to celebrate Christmas and regale the kids!
2. Participation of TV Comedy Artists to entertain the kids!
3. Non Vegetarian Delicious and Sumptuous spread Lunch!
4. Water Acrobatics display by CTC Volunteers!
5. Games / Quizzes to be organized by CTC Volunteers and prizes will be given by Santa Claus!
6. The best of Photos will be selected, printed and made into a Special Album and given to volunteers as a Remembrance of this day (Album cost extra).
7. Thanksgiving Dinner for the Volunteers after the Trek in Anna Nagar ( Expenses shared).
8. Special Album and a Special Big CTC Group Photo Wall hanging to be gifted to the home with CTC’s name and date of trek boldly engrossed!
AGENDA:
Assemble Saturday 4.45am SHARP near TIDEL PARK main entrance.
Bus will pick up people along route (see pickup points below).
Leave Koyambedu by 5.45am SHARP, reach the Home @6.15am. Finish Breakfast.
7.00AM start from Home to Nagala.
Drive along NH5, NH205 towards Nagalapuram.
Park cars & Bus at dam near the temple.
Proceed along mountain stream to enter Mountain rang
Refill water bottles in the water stream, have lunch and return back.
Reach Korattur Home by 7.30pm.
Back home with all that smiles and stories to share.

About Cost:
We would be sharing the transportation (hiring the bus) and food costs for the children.
1. If you wish to join the trip and sponsor a kid - Shared expenses will be calculated at the end of the trek and collected.
2. If you wish to sponsor a kid without participating - Rs 400 – This amount has to be paid in advance inorder to enable us to make necessary arrangements.
For those who cannot join, but wish to be a part of this cause, Yes, we accept sponsors. Read below carefully.

THINGS TO CARRY
- Small backpack.
- Few plastic bags to keep all our clothes dry in case it rains.
- Good shoes you are comfortable in
- Floaters/ chappals for the water
- Two PET bottles with water ( We follow a strict a no-pollution
policy here. So please bring your bottles from home and make sure you take
them back! )
- LED torch is a must just in case it gets dark
- Volini or pain relief spray
- Change of clothes to get home dry.
- Extra cash – Rs. 500.
- Sun block or a cap.
- A camera and your photography dreams
- Your wits and the funny bone polished!
Little details…
- This trek is a very easy trek.All are welcome !!!
- CTC is a group of very efficient corporate people and students who turn
junglee when the weekend dawns! In other words, we plan together, share the
costs, stick together and be responsible for ourselves and each other.
- Food and transport will be provided by organizers. But please bring water
in reusable bottles and take them back with you. We take strict actions
against littering.

Because this trek is for people to come on their own interest, for people who feel happy to do social service, for people who love kids, for people who want to thank God for his blessing, for people who have a caring heart for the downtrodden children and lastly for people who see God in these children’s eyes!!
After the first invite was put, we were flooded with a clutch of enquiries asking if we can change the date to either 25th ( Christmas holiday) or 27th (Sunday) stating since it came between two holidays, 26th Saturday is working day for them. Overwhelmed by our member’s eagerness to join the trek and spend a special day of their lives with a host of beautiful children....We have decided to pre-pone our Social trek 12 to DECEMBER 25TH FRIDAY!
