This is invite to one of
the two treks being organized this weekend Jun 13-14. This particular
registration form is for the 2 day trek to our very own Nagalapuram
range (not be confused with 1 day nagala trek being organized by
Vinodha the same weekend).

SUMMARY:
Type
- Medium/Difficult. (involves steep inclines and descents, participants
need to be in good physical shape to complete the trek, if you think
you are not fit enough please register for the easy trek on Sunday
instead)
Duration - 2 day - Saturday early morning till Sunday evening
Transportation - own (cars/bikes)
Expense
- around Rs 700Rs (shared petrol, food, ...) - Pay advance Rs 700 at
the pickup point, difference will be settled by the end of the second
day.
AGENDA:
Start at 04:30 am from TIDEL PARK
Pick up people along route (see pickup points below)
Reach
Uthukkottai and take breakfast in a restaurant, pack lunch, drive to
Nagalapuram hills entry point village. Cross the dam, walk through
forest cover, the temple and the foothills to reach the first pool.
Enjoy the splendid views of Eastern Ghats, enjoy the pool and the
waterfall, take pictures, continue to move forward. Have lunch and
start a steep climb towards eastern side of the mountain. reach camp
site before sunset. camp, have dinner, play uno, sleep under the stars.
Get up early next day continue moving south enjoying splendid views
from top of nagala range have breakfast and lunch and continue moving
south and start descent and reach the bottom of the range by afternoon,
play in the water and reach the parked cars around 5-6pm Sunday and
head back to chennai.
Please reach the pickup points atleast 10
minutes before start time. CTC does not wait for late comers. please
inform organizers by phone if you are late or dropping out.

*Good walking shoes, preferably also a pair of sandals/chappals to walk through water
*medium
sized back-pack to carry water, food, shoes / sandals, clothes. please
don't carry too big himalayan trek sized backpack with a week's supply
of clothes or too small that can't even carry three bottles and food
for two days.
*bottles to carry atleast 3 litres of water per person
(this is very important as much of second day will be without water,
and rains can make stream water unsuitable for drinking)
*One extra set of clothes (to be left in the cars)
*Sun cap and cream
*Working LED torch - trekking after dark is very much a possibility
*Camera and enough cash
*sleeping mat and bedsheet/sleeping bag (n.b. nights in the mountains can get quite cold even at low altitudes)

dinner breakfast will be taken care of by the organizers, you can bring
chocolates, dry fruits, snacks, fruits if required.
*please remember
to bring enough plastic bags to face rains as they are always a
possibility, make sure all your stuff in the backpack is waterproofed
by plastic bags, its always better to carry a raincoat.
