Thank you all Donors who came forward to donate and saved precious lives. Total 81 Donors donated.

Thanks to TR Chadha & CO team for coming forward to organise a camp and donating as well.

Blood donation is the act of giving life. Your one hour spent in donating the blood is going to give life to someone in need. Your blood could save anyone from a little baby to an old individual. One cannot make blood, it is a gift we all have inside of us to give to those who are injured, sick, or in need. There's no doubt that the need is huge. However, the support of donors like you is helping us to make it possible to help the people in achieving a healthier, happier and fruitful life.

In spite of the various reasons, for donating blood and encouraging others to do it, there are only few who actually do it.
Thanks for being a part of this group. Your act of noble kindness of volunteering blood donation will serve as an inspiration to other people.

Thanks to all the volunteers who made this event a great success with usual CTC Volunteering Spirit, you all made the event a glorious one..

Post event write up by Srimathi Sridharan

You do not know what you are capable of until you are a Red Knight:

When I stepped into Rajiv Gandhi hospital on Sunday I got reminded of my uncle being rushed there right after an accident and how we were hunting for blood donors to save his life. Thanks to the timely help of donors, he is hale and healthy today. Now, after years, I step in again and found myself part of the group that works with the mission of saving many lives like that of my uncle's.

CTC's Chennai Red Knights is committed to spreading the word about the importance of blood donation and organizes several blood donation camps.

Sunday was one such camp and I found myself amongst some like-minded people who were interested in this cause. Organized along with TR Chadha & Co. LLP, there were more than 80 donors who enthusiastically donated their blood, apart from few others who came all the way to donate but couldn't make it past their blood count test.

Nevertheless, the effort was humongous, the thought was noble. I got a glimpse of what it means to someone who is in need of blood. When I hung around i witnessed a boy and his family member (dad or uncle, not sure) waiting in the hallway. I was told that his mother was undergoing a heart surgery the next day and the blood donated is going to make a lot of difference to the family. I shall save some drama, but I cannot stop myself from noticing the urgency and the earnestness in the little boy's eyes. Since I've been there, done that, I knew exactly how thankful the family would feel when they receive the blood needed. This was just one family. Until I was there, I noticed so many others thronging the place for blood.

Kudos to the first time donors, especially to the ones who were rejected many times for not being fit enough to donate and ultimately made it this time and for those who mustered courage at the spot to donate blood, breaking away from their fears of various kinds.

The feeling of saving a life is inexplicable. I would urge everyone to try that sometime. Thanks to the organizers; you guys are doing a great job. And it's an ongoing movement to clear the myths and misconceptions and  woo people into being committed to a cause like this.

Thanks & Regards,

Chennai Red Knights
