Hi All!

In case you haven't heard about GPars it is concurrency framework for Java and Groovy.  From their home page

"The GPars framework offers Java developers intuitive and safe ways to handle Java or Groovy tasks concurrently. Leveraging the enormous flexibility of the Groovy programing language and building on proven Java technologies, we aim to make concurrent programming for multi-core hardware intuitive, robust and enjoyable."

Tom Parker will be giving an overview with examples of this exciting framework.  Mr. Parker is a veteran speaker at the newsgroups and has a talent for making complex subjects approachable.  For those of you who have been avoiding multi-threaded programming, now is your chance to dive in!

The Sacramento Groovy Users meet the 1st Thursday of each month at 6:30 at our sponsor Quilogy/Aspect.

1300 National Dr
Suite 180

See you all there!
