Join us for a tour of the NodeJS platform given by Mark Eschbach.  Now is your chance to learn all about how to use Node in the real world.

Food and Drinks will be sponsored by TekSystems.  There will also be raffles for both eBooks and Physical books by O'Reilly, Appress and Manning, as well as a FULL LICENSE to Jetbrains Intellij Idea Ultimate Edition.

As usual we meet at 6:30 at Hacker Lab in Sacramento.  See you there!

Hey there,

Terry Robison here, I moved to Colorado Springs a couple of years ago.  I do miss all the SACGRU meetups.

We do have a Agile User Group and an Open Source User Group, here in the Springs, but not as interesting as SACGRU meetups.

Good to hear from you Terry.  Any chance you will be in town anytime soon?

Hi Steve,

Probably not. I transferred out here with Agilent. We are actually int he process of splitting the company into two companies. I will be moving to Keysight Technologies which is the HP Test and Measurement legacy part of Agilent. Keysight will be headquartered in Santa Rosa, so that's probably as close as I will get to Sacto.

I still follow the group and try to investigate some of the same things you guys do. Want to look at NodeJS, finding the time is the issue.

Have you looked into all the MOOCs (Massive Open Online Classes), There are alot of courses out there for free or a small fee. I have been using Udemy, Coursera, and Charles Sturt.  Did a MongoDB for Java Developers and recently started a  Scala class. As you expect some are better than others, but its a good introduction to new technology if you can find one.

Have a good one...
