Thursday's Post meeting rundown

Hey Ladies and Gents!

Here is the rundown of our discussions at last night's meeting:

Name change - Should SacGRU change it's name to The Sacramento Polyglot Programmers or the like.  I will send out another post specifically about this.

Food - Should our new Teksystems sponsors (Jennifer and Dayan) bring Togos or some other food.  Again, I will send out another post.

Remote members - Last night we brought in David Vydra from Colorado using Google Hangouts.  My opinion is that it worked decently well all things considered.  Any feedback on how to improve this is highly appreciated.

Sponsors - We have 4 new sponsors (Jetbrains, Manning, Apress, and O'Reilly and associates) as well as our new Liaisons from Teksystem.  Any feedback is very much appreciated.  I didn't mention it before but if you win a book they would always appreciate a review.

Presentation feedback - I suggested we try to incorporate a few members of the group to be Navigators for coding examples during presentations and that presentations try to have coding examples.  We can try out this format in future presentations and see whether or not it's working well for us.

Brian's Video Game - Brian Lavendar unofficially presented his latest version of Breakout(?) to the group.  Feedback is encouraged although possibly not welcome.
