SCAPA Update 2-15-11

Hello,

Late last week I received notice that the county has verified and
acknowledged that SCAPA has above 30% signed signature cards for both
of the new proposed units. This is great news.

The next step is discussing the details of the election. I have a
meeting this Thursday with Labor Relations and the State Mediation &
Conciliation Service as well as a couple other groups to negotiate the
election process.

Once we vote and are successful with a vote of at least 50%+1 in favor
of becomming an REO we can start the contract negotiation process. I
want to point out that the 50%+1 is of those in 060 who show up to
vote and not the entire group. So to clearify if 20 people show up to
vote we would need at least 11 of them to vote in favor.
