G'Day All,

I am wondering if there is a Johnny Rockets in the Sacramento area. I have
eaten at Johnny Rockets in Dubai, when I was there a few months ago to cover
a figure skating contest there. They just simply have one of the best burgers
on the planet, bar none.
I will be swinging back around towards Sacramento, to visit relatives in
the area, before I head off to Malaysia to cover a figure skating contest
there. I have been busy travelling around the world quite a bit.

One that I know of is in the Arden Fair Mall. Take the Capital City
Freeway and take the Arden exit.

They have good burgers. But you should also try In-N-Out, a private
chain that never uses frozen patties, french fries made directly from
whole potatoes, etc. There are a few outlets in Sacramento, for
instance, off of Sunrise Blvd. from Highway 50, or in N. Natomas (take
Truxel exit going North from I80, head into the shopping center
there). Also Redrum Burger (formerly Murder Burger) in Davis, just
take the main exit (Richards Blvd) to downtown and it's on your left
before going under the railway overpass. On your right, just
opposite, is another In-N-Out.

WHoa, this sounds like the old troll who used to post here...he said
he covered State Fair's, radio and lived in Australia...at first he
used to use his real provider in Sac...his IP was here, then he went
to the anon posting services.

At least with In'an'Out, don't forget to order your burger's

Charles E. "The ChuckieMonster[tm]" Newman (appearing here under the
anon ID "Looten Plunder") knows full well where Johnny Rockets
is...and the Arden Fair Mall...and the Capital City Freeway. Heck, he
lives roughly a mile away from Arden Fair...

ARRRGGGGHHH!!!

Here we go AGAIN!!

I AM *NOT* CHUCKIE!!!!!!!!!

I live in Australia, and come to Sacramento from time to time. Too bad
Cnet Radio 910 is gone. I used to like their tehnical based talk radio. Plus,
you could hear them on the Internet from anywhere in the world.
I think it sucks that radio stations are having to give up their Net feeds.
I used to enjoy listening to KDND from my home in Australia. GrooveJet live
was a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon at home in Australia (9PM
on Saturday is 2PM or 4PM the next day in Tasmania, depending on the time of
year).

Hey, Chuckie...

One day...we'll all be old and gray. We'll have a get-together
somewhere in Sacramento (I'd fly back for it, really!) and you'll have
to share your fun stories of getting our goats...by getting us to
constantly point out who you are ;)

We'll laugh, we'll share a few drinks, and you can retire "Charles
Newman" and all of your other aliases.

Also, I am having to use this backup posting method because of major
equipment failure on our conputer networks that will probably not not fixed
for a week. I ended up losing the PGP key to my "Looten Plunder" alias, so
that alias will not be used for at least 4 months, until nym.alias.net
automatically purges it (nym.alias.net automatically purges aliases that have
not been used to send outgoing mail after 120 days). When I do get things
fixed, I will have to create a new nym.alias.net alias. As a result, any mail
you send to to loo...@nym.alias.net will be unreadable, as I no longer have
the PGP key I need to decode it. Nym.alias.net forwards all mail sent to any
alias in encrypted form as a security alias, what with Echelon, USA Patriot
Act, and other draconian measures being implemented by the Nazis in the United
States governnment. Nym.alias.net now does that as a security measure, since
the nym.alias.net servers are located in the United States.
This could not have come at a worse time, as we, here at Anonymous
Demonic Media are gearing up to cover the Four Continents Figure Skating
Championhips next week, as some of Australia's top skaters are expected to
compete.
I am due to depart late to tonight, and will be in Asia by this time
tomorrow.

So why would he ask about Johnny Rockets, then, if he already
knew about it? The purpose of trolling is to post provocative
statements about hot-button issues that are intended to generate
emotional responses from the readership. Asking for the location
of a restaurant would hardly seem to fit that criterion.

What's the story on why the name was changed? That's never
been clear to me. Was there a sudden bout of hypersensitivity
in the local community or something?

This is another sort of trolling. It's a ploy by Mr. Newman to call
attention to himself by creating fictitious characters...world
travelers who usually write articles for equally fictitious "Ezines"
devoted usually to topics such as figure skating and the California
State Fair. The messages nearly always have some sort of connection
between Chuckie's "character" and something in the Sacramento or
Northern California area. An online record of his former bulletin
board system many years ago shows Chuckie's home address, which was at
least at the time in the Arden area of Sacramento County (just a short
walk from a number of the mundane fast food restaurants he's
apparently interested in ;).

Chuckie's style is unmistakable. His life, apparently, is not nearly
as exciting as his "globetrotting" fantasies. I have no idea what he
gets out of asking about mundane American chain restaurants, but
that's one of his signatures.

There has been some thought here recently to the theory that even his
"main" name, Charles E. Newman, is not real...that the young (?)
Sacramento State student is just another character. There's a good
theory there...considering that "Charles Newman" never seems to age
beyond approximately his mid-20's. But he's been posting to Usenet
for many, many years. 12, at least...the earliest message I can spot
from him is 1990.

He's kinda like the Bart Simpson of Usenet... Bart, of course, has not
aged beyond his grade school years, despite the fact that the animated
TV program "The Simpsons" has been on the air for over 15 years now.

Naw...the restaurant changed hands, and the previous owner kept the
rights to the name...so the new owner had to find a new one.

Err, ahhh.... nope. They are in Davis. Feared a "hate crime" charge
and reacted accordingly. Davis paper (the Enterprise ?) carried the
story at the time, close to two years ago.
