Yes.

Transport is already cross-referencing out the sections on security screening, assistance specifying / providing and preferred terminology at this document (as a placeholder for now.)

One generic comment. I think the services group should not reiterate the requirements with regard to built environment, transport ICT etc and zero in on what is required in the human interface of the service.

Can we have the meeting timings and link for tomorrow?

Also adding Shrutica from iprobono for police service in addition to Vaishnavi and Gnana bharathi for inputting to health services guidelines

My quick points on health are as follows:

1. Data: Disaggregated data on accessible health care services received by persons with disabilities should be made public under all health policies. NFHS should include disability questions from 7th round onward.
2. Access to Health infrastructure & service :
 - All Primary Health Care centres / Ayushman bharat wellness centres should ensure accessibility standards in built environment, health infrastructure, products and services.
- Processes in approaching and accessing health care should be made available in accessible formats.
- Ayushman Bharat scheme and other health insurance products should become accessible and inclusive for all persons with disabilities in the country.

3. Accessible ICT: Digital & Communication services such as E Sanjivani, Tele Manas and other health dept helplines should be made accessible for Persons with disabilities.

4. Products:
- Specific Nutrition, Rehabilitation and assistive technology of persons with disabilities to be ensured  (accessibility of information & Availability of services).
- Products like medicine labels to have qr code for accessible information can be added.
- supportive products like catheters, diapers, bed sore cushions etc should be ensured through accessible means (door step facilitation) and human support for usage of such products should also be enabled.

5. Rules/ guideliens:
Health care accessibility standards guidelines should be reviewed in consultation with Persons with Disabilities and implemented in all health care facilities including PHCs.

Will work on it further based on comments at tomorrow's meeting.

Smitha

Dear all,

Here is the structure of the document. It is not complete, I am still working on it, especially the section in the table. Please review the structure (headings only).  It took sometime, as I began populating the headings.

Also, attaching the list of regulators, which Shashank has shared yesterday.

Looking forward to your feedback
Best wishes.

Update on document structure

Dear All,

As discussed in the meeting, I was supposed to send the document structure to you yesterday. I am on it, but it is taking a little more time than expected. I request a couple of days more to complete it.

Shashank and I are meeting on Monday to finalize it, and we will run it through Radhika before sharing it with you by Tuesday evening at the latest.

Hope that works for everyone.

Best regards,
Percy

Dear all,

I hope all of you are doing well.

Following the meeting with the officials of the DePwd on January 7, 2025, Radhika and I have brainstormed the next steps. We have also received some valuable recommendations from Prof. A for our group, soon after the meeting. I have summarized her recommendations and our discussions on the next steps in a document, attached in this email.

Radhika and I feel that we should now split into specific service-related sub-groups, hold discussions for each service, and come up with a list of non-negotiables. Shashank has shared a Google Doc with a list of services. We can either follow the list provided there or decide based on our preferences.

We have already covered significant ground, and all the recommendations are documented. I will share these along with the details of the discussions from the meeting with the officials.

In the meantime, I am writing to confirm if we can all gather to discuss the next course of action—primarily the formation of sub-groups and facilitation for each. We had tentatively planned to meet on January 16 at 3:30 PM. Radhika will share the meeting link soon.

Best wishes,

Percy

Dear all,
Sharing the word document which has templates of the slides for our presentation on January 7, 2024 with the Ministry officials. It would be easier to comment on a word document than a .ppt format.

I have also attached the minutes/recommendations document again for your reference. Please provide your feedback for the presentation. I will prepare the .ppt format shortly.

Looking forward to your thoughts.

Best wishes.

Dear All,

Following Prof. Amita's email regarding the formation of the Core Group for Services, I am creating this separate thread to schedule our meetings.

Radhika and I had a brief discussion this morning and feel it is essential to meet immediately, given the tight timeline. We have decided to meet on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at 9:30 AM. Kindly make it convenient to attend.

We have also planned subsequent meetings on January 2 and 3, 2025, at 9:30 AM to ensure steady progress.

If you are unable to join the meeting on December 31, please share your suggestions based on your domain expertise. Specifically, we would like inputs on:

  1. Services that need to be made available and accessible.
  2. Standards to recommend.
  3. Penalties to enforce.

Looking forward to your contributions.

You will receive the meeting link shortly.

Best regards,
Percy

Yes Vaishnavi, the marking mentioned by you is a good idea that the service dimension is explicitly marked and forwarded to the services group. The problem of amorphousness experienced by the services group can then be addressed and exactly how services intersect in the other themes becomes explicit.
