It appears that Javier Andino and Javier Andino (Cotto) are the same person. I discovered this while testing an algorithm to compare the extracted contract information with the published career data. It seems that TSN created a new card and filed it some distance from the original because Andino missed the 79 or 80 season. As a relatively unknown minor leaguer, when he showed up for the second time without the matrilineal name attached, a new card was created.
