Hi folks,  Honestly, this is important because a close friend of mine had a house fire that started due to soot buildup in the chimney/basement collector space. It smoldered for a long time and eventually burned part of their home. That incident really scared me, so now I’m getting my own chimney cleaned regularly.

We’re scheduling a chimney cleaning service with Michael, and if a few more people join, we can get a group discount. Normally this costs up to $400, but with 3-4 houses it's $169 per house.

Creosote is highly flammable, and if it builds up, it can ignite and spread fast to the roof and walls. Regular cleaning removes that risk. We’ve used this company before and they do an excellent job. (They also do $149 for duct and $149 for dryer cleaning if anyone needs that.) Normally this service costs $399, but with multiple homes it drops to $149 per home. (They also offer duct cleaning and chimney cleaning if needed) Cleaning your dryer vent is really important because lint and dust buildup can become a serious fire hazard if not maintained properly. We’ve used this service before, and they do an excellent job.
