It's official: Unchained At Last now offers FREE MATRIMONIAL-LAW TRAINING -- worth eight CLE credits, including one ethics credit -- to admitted attorneys in New Jersey who agree to represent an Unchained client pro bono. (As you know, Unchained is the only nonprofit in the US dedicated to helping women and girls leave or avoid arranged/forced marriages.)

The first CLE course is scheduled for November 4 in Westfield (9a to 5p, with a free lunch included). See below and see the attached flyer for details about the CLE course.

May I take you up on your offer to spread the word through SABA-NJ about the program?

By the way, lawyers who represent Unchained clients pro bono also get these benefits:

- Hours of service toward exemption from mandatory pro bono assignments in NJ

- Experience in matrimonial law

- Mentoring from an experienced matrimonial law attorney, if wanted

- The option to partner with another lawyer

- Valuable networking opportunities

- Unchained funds for expert witnesses and other court-related fees

- The chance to un-arrange a marriage and re-arrange a life

ABOUT THE CLE COURSE

The CLE course is titled Un-Arrange a Marriage: An Introduction to Family Law, With a Focus on Forced Marriage.

The course offers a comprehensive review of New Jersey matrimonial law, covering every step of the divorce process -- from filing the complaint to addressing issues of equitable distribution, child custody, child support and alimony. Includes a discussion of arranged/forced marriage in New Jersey and the legal and ethical issues involved.

The course is taught by experienced matrimonial law attorneys. It is worth eight CLE credits, including one ethics credit (CLE course approval is pending). More information is at unchainedatlast.org.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
