Hello incoming first year COM students,
I just wanted to reach out and say welcome first of all. We are all very excited to start working with you soon
But also to remind you of the OPP essay that is due October 18th (so you have time). If you have the time now, it would be great to get a jump start on it and even finish it.
The student club SAAO is hosting an event this Sunday where they will be talking about the book and assignment. It is a great opportunity to meet second year students and get some advice. Some students have also asked me if I will look at the essay and I will. I won’t grade it in advance of submission, but I will tell you if the format is correct or if you are missing something major. You can show it to me in person (please don’t email it to me for the preview impression). I’m in admin & faculty 1 – office 221 if you want to do that.
