The SAA Open Science Interest Group is hosting a half-day workshop on 'Archaeological Data Science Using R' , to be held at the Smithsonian Institution during the 2018 SAA meeting. The workshop instructors are from the University of Washington, Harvard University, and AECOM. This is a workshop for novices, and we especially welcome archaeologists with no previous experience with R or programming. This workshop is hands-on and will teach you basic concepts, skills, and modern, free tools for working more effectively with archaeological data (you can bring your own!).
