Hi Everyone,

I have received this email from the Squadron:

THE YACHT YOUTH CRUISING TROPHY

ENTRY IS NOW OPEN

Applications for this trophy are now being accepted.

The yacht Youth Trophy is named after the cruising yacht Youth (originally built by and skippered in a remarkable 18 year global cruising marathon by Alan Quigley). It is open to sailors of any age (young & old) who are members of any South Australian Yacht Club. The Royal South Australian Yacht Squadron (RSAYS) is custodian of the Trophy.
Entries should be submitted to the Cruising Committee R.S.A.Y.S. no later than Monday 12 June 2018
Written entries addressing the assessment criteria should be accompanied by supporting evidence such as:-
•  written testimony by the entrant and others;
•  logs and other material relating to preparations for and the cruise itself;
•  explanation of any matters considered especially significant by the entrant.
The winner of the Trophy will be announced at an Award presentation to be held later in 2018. The winner is expected to give a talk about their winning entry at the presentation.
