EGYPTIAN VULTURE – a juvenile bird has just been seen flying over Kuruman River Reserve (Northern Cape) at -26.921, 21.840. Obviously, it’s difficult to know for sure whether this is the same individual that was hanging around in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park recently, but it’s only just over 200km south-east of where that bird was last seen, so is a distinct possibility – reported by Tristan Silver.
Kind regards
Trevor
LESSER FRIGATEBIRD – an adult female bird has just been seen and photographed at the lighthouse at Cape Recife (Eastern Cape). It came in briefly and was chasing a gull before moving off again, but is bound to still be in the general area – reported by Jorrie Jordaan.
Kind regards
Trevor
