Update from SARBN - Golden Pipit

GOLDEN PIPIT – a single bird was found and photographed this morning on Kapama Game Reserve at -24.405556, 31.116111. This is about 8,5km in a straight line from where the individual was seen yesterday on Timbavati Private Game Reserve, so could well be the same individual that has just moved that distance, or could also possibly be another individual (not possible from the available photos at the moment to confirm one way or the other). As with most of these private reserves, I don’t think general access for day visitors will be allowed and one would have to be staying at one of the lodges on the reserve in order to access the area – found by Kyle McGarvy and reported by Donovan Hulett.

GOLDEN PIPIT – still present this morning in Timbavati Private Game Reserve and photographed again at -24.380171, 31.197260 – reported by Steve Walker.

GOLDEN PIPIT – still present earlier today and photographed again on Timbavati Private Game Reserve (Mpumalanga). Unfortunately, access remains strictly for people staying at the lodges, so no general access is being permitted for day visitors – reported by Marc Cronje.
