Hi everyone,
A non-rarity related post again, but I don’t share many of these, so I hope you won’t mind, and perhaps some of you might even be interested in joining…J
From 1-5 May, there will be another exciting birding safari put together by the Chiefs Tented Camps group and, this time, it will be heading to the incredible Victoria Falls area. As you may know, these are camps that are specifically set up for just a defined period every year, and then removed in totality again after that, so that no evidence is left that the camp was even there! This is a brand new camp and this birding safari will be one of the first ever groups to have the privilege of using this camp…!
Not only will this safari be exploring the exciting birding areas in the Victoria Falls region, including a visit to the famed falls themselves, but there will also be a day trip across the border into Botswana to explore the Chobe region which is sure to add a whole lot of additional species to the trip list too.
Although the camp is large enough to take a lot more people, the safari has been limited to just 18 people in total, and they will have exclusive use of the camp for that period. I’m also led to believe that some of the people that joined the birding safaris to the special Kruger camps last year arranged by the same group, who were given first preference to book because they were already existing clients, have already taken some of the places, so the available number of slots is already reduced.
Anyway, if you are keen to find out more, or to secure a spot(s) for yourself, pop over to https://victoriafallstentedcamp.com/birding-safari/ where you will find all the relevant details and the info on how to secure your spot.
I look forward to hopefully getting to bird with some of you on this trip then and, who knows, maybe we’ll find some mega reverse migrant then – the timing is pretty good for that…J
Kind regards
Trevor
