A note on the Mozambique Noddy

Dear SARBN subscribers

A quick note on the Noddy found at The Sanctuary over the weekend: the identification of Brown Noddy has been questioned by a number of sea bird experts with experience in Noddies, and the prevailing opinion currently is that the bird may actually be a LESSER NODDY. However, please note that there are ongoing discussions, and we are sending more photographs to international experts, and this is not necessarily a final answer.

Incidentally, the bird was seen again today.

I will send out a more thorough discussion at a later stage but I thought I would quickly let everyone know, just in case there are any birders planning to attempt a twitch.
