EUROPEAN PIED FLYCATCHER – a male bird has just been reported by a group of Austrian birders between Divundu and Mahango (Namibia) at -18.136, 21.651. Apparently, they didn’t manage to get any photos of the bird, but the leader of the group, who actually found it, has written papers on the ID of these Ficedula flycatchers (European Pied, Collared and Semi-collared) and is confident of what they saw – reported by Leander Khil.
Hopefully, others can spend some time in this area and try and track the bird down again to get some photos of it…
