I’ve been out at sea today, hence the lack of any updates on SARBN, but just quickly to catch up with some news:

LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL – a single bird was discovered about 300m east of the Keurbooms River mouth in Plettenberg Bay (Western Cape) earlier today – reported by Pieter Schoeman.

MADAGASCAR CUCKOO – the bird at Kranspoort Holiday Village (Mpumalanga) was still showing very well today and a number of people managed to connect with it.

GOLDEN PLOVER sp. – a single bird was reported at Pioneer Dam at Mopani camp in the Kruger (Limpopo) earlier today and was present on the second large sand spit directly opposite the deck. Unfortunately, this distance didn’t allow the specific identification to be confirmed – reported by Martin Taylor.

Kind regards

Trevor
