HABITAT FOR HUMANITY BRINGS PATCH ADAMS TO CAMPUSBinghamton, NY 10/11/07 – Binghamton University's chapter of Habitat for Humanity will be hosting Patch Adams, the world famous clown doctor made famous by Robin Williams in the eponymous 1998 film, and the founder of the Gesundheit Institute.
On October 20, a Humor and Health Lecture will be held starting at 7 p.m. in the West Gym. The topic of discussion will be the convergence between humor and the health of an individual, community, and society.
On October 21 at 9 a.m. in Lecture Hall 1, Dr. Adams will orchestrate a discussion on the Joy of Care, based on his over thirty years of personal experience as a physician and a clown.
Tickets for the event are currently on sale in the SA Box Office and
Ticketmaster.com. The October 20 lecture is $10 for BU students and $20 for the general public, and the talk on October 21 is $15 for students and $25 for the general public.
