Forwarding gayle's last message to the saga group.

In Addition:
Before the form is published, I need to know if there are strong opinions against these:

SAGA voting deadline:
Midnight, 12 May 2013
(That's more than four weeks and ends on a Sunday -- Sunday at midnight is something everyone is used to by now :-). )

SAGA Event:
Sunday, 26 May 2013 11AM
Thorndon Park Reserve
Near: S 34° 52.421 E 138° 41.208

I've verified these dates with Mrs. Flipper.

Subject: Re: Voting form compiled

All looks ok to me, is Skippy going to build the voting bookmark list, and will there be a spread sheet list so I can go put in the voting/nomination notes in the cache listing.

I will also build the award certificates, we also need to set a date for the event, we are happy to hold it up at Thorndon Park, I will get co-ords, and I think the last weekend in may will give us all the time we need to finish every thing, and we need to get the event page up and running before any more events are scheduled seeing as one of the other preferred May dates has now got an event planned on it.
cheers
Gayle & Mark

Sorry about the tardiness of this form.  I had everything all entered, but we've had guests at our house since 1PM today until now.

We never decided (officially) the rules for voting:
    a) do we limit geocachers to be able to vote only for caches they have found?  I said no, Sef said no, Skippy still says yes
    b) do we limit to one vote per geocaching team name?  I say yes (easier to tabulate), Sef said yes, Skippy says yes
    c) what other rules?

When the rules are finalized, I will paste them into the top box of the form.

Now, when I tried to put the explanation of the Geocache Hider Of The Year nominations I had a lot of difficulty with the formatting.  I'm going to try to inject some HTML in, but I may have to figure out how to make it appear better.  It does not let me make paragraphs within that block of text.  The alternative is to put a paragraph before the voting category (and hopefully I can format that better).

I'll keep working on it, but I need feedback from Gayle, Mark, and Darren regarding the rules questions above.  This is a democratic process, Darren so speak freely, you won't be treated badly for your opinion.

One more thing. is the Geocache Hider of the year just that, "Hider"?  or do we want to add some additional criteria to make them the geocacher of the year?  I would love to see some social points --- points for these folks attending SA geocaching events.  (to encourage new cachers to attend and get to know each other).  The shortest route is to just make them the Hider of the year since Sef already has the nominee criteria tabulated.

Have a look -- -and please, somebody check that I didn't screw something up on the form, thanks!

Cheers,
Audra

I think Heidi is doing a Breaky that morning , which shouldn't clash with our event

May 26 is still a long way away. Weather may become an issue. Also there is already an event on May 25 as well. Still due to Reno and Mark having to work alternate weekends there may not be another option. I take it that April 28 was not conisidered as too many people will be away? And May 12 is out due to mother's day.

If May 26 is the date then May 12 is fine for the deadline

Gayle just suggested we push the time to 1pm so that Geocachers have time to comfortably cache their way from Heidi's brekkie event to the awards event! :-)

Awesome community we have :-) !!
