Hello from cold Germany!

I have got the Polar S710 and I tried the software succesfully with
Linux. But a year ago I bought a MacBook. Now I would like to use the
s710 Software with Mac OS 10.4 (Darwin). I compiled the software and
installed it. But when I start s710sh -d usb I get the following:

Hello,

I own a Mac too.

Unfortunately, the USB interface is NOT mac compatible.
see http://lists.apple.com/archives/Usb/2003/Jan/msg00164.html

the only solution is to use the serial interface + a Keyspan Serial-USB adapter.
I tried without success to get this to work with s710 ( but I am a novice programmer ). see the xcode project is the SVN source code of s710.

regards,

---Philippe

Thanks for this information.
Do I need an original Keyspan Serial-USB adpater or can I buy a normal one?

I can not say, as s710 never really worked on my mac.
iSmartTrain, a commercial sofware, advise to use Keyspan USA-19HS
