Mac OS X application "damaged" when freshly installed

Hi, 

I just downloaded a fresh verison of the Mac Os X installer. After following the istallation process, Mac OS X refuses to start "S4A", stating that the app "is damaged and cannot be opened". I tried twice, and re-downloading a new DMG does not work. I'm running Mac Os X High Sierra (10.13.2). 

Any hints ?

Usually this can be fixed by allowing Mac OS to install software from unknown developers in the systems settings.

I still have the same problems. I cant install S4A . I run the the bellow lines in terminal and nothing .

“S4A.app” needs to be updated.

The developer of this app needs to update it to work with this version of macOS.

Hi all,

 

First of all sorry for the late reply. According to the feedback of several users, it seems that S4A it’s getting some troubles to work under the latest versions of MacOS and unfortunately it’s a project that we're not maintaining and that it will not be updated anymore. That's why we encourage anyone interested in it to try Snap4Arduino, it's pretty similar to S4A but with more advanced features due it's based on Snap! instead of Scratch. Depending on which board you have, you can also try Microblocks.

 

Please give it a try and tell us if you have any questions about it.
