I recently updated s3ql. Now the mount.s3ql command does not daemonize anymore.

The mount seems ok, I can see the files in another shell and I can access them, but the mount command does not exit. And it does not seem to do anything. Strace shows:

futex(0x7fffd04b3210, FUTEX_WAIT_PRIVATE, 0, NULL

If I call the unmount command in another window, the mount command does the following and then both commands terminate.

FUSE main loop terminated.
Unmounting file system...
Dumping metadata...
..objects..
..blocks..
..inodes..
..inode_blocks..
..symlink_targets..
..names..
..contents..
..ext_attributes..
Compressing and uploading metadata...
Wrote 12 MiB of compressed metadata.
Cycling metadata backups...
Backing up old metadata...
Cleaning up local metadata...
All done.

Indeed. Quoting from the changelog:

* mount.s3ql no longer daemonizes on its own. With a modern init
system this should no longer be necessary, and when running
mount.s3ql from the command line the shell can be used to put the
process into background.

Hope that helps,

Thank you, and sorry for the noise. It seems I should change my shellscripts. :)
