Team Racing

Looks like we'll need to find a mark set boat for June 14th. 

There's a conflict with the Champions of Champions regatta

On conflict weekend we give up our team race date, so no team race in June.   

We should organize for July, and maybe think about possible other dates such as racing with the Lasers/Dingies on Fridays nights or other days for some shorter course racing over the summer. Laird has some ideas.

June is a pretty hectic schedule with Commdores pursuit race on June 8, and One Design on June 21.  Laird and I are racing Champ of Champs on June 14.   

We could create an armada to block bigger boats  from passing our fleet using our team race skills and win the Commodores regatta pursuit race if we get organized. :-)   we need a big sign up!

Yes, yesterday we did briefly discuss the possibility of inviting Santana 22s to be honorary dinghies for the July 18 Friday night racing, maybe limiting it to Corinthians as skippers. I'll check with some others on that and I'll let you know if it's a go.

In addition, Charlie and I were chatting with a sailor from Monterey Peninsula YC and we all agreed that it would be fun to have an annual team race series against them (and maybe Stillwater?) in Santanas. They would come up here once and use our boats, and we'd go down there once and use their boats. A name was proposed: the Ross Clark Memorial Ice Cream Bowl. I think Charlie is going to follow up on this? (calling you out Charlie to make sure we follow up :).
