Subject: s-10 truck prices
Hi all,
Does anyone know what a truck is worth with a dead battery pack? Everything else is good and has very low miles.
Thanks
One data point: I saw a nice* S-10 pickup conversion with a dead battery
pack sell on e-bay for around $6,500 in Florida a month ago.
*where nice means good interior/exterior, but 5-10 years old.
Of course, I'm sure that if you went with the overall cost of the
conversion parts it was worth a lot more than that, even with a standard
depreciation schedule.
To get a feel for the overall market, search for electric vehicle sales
on ebay (they occur, but are somewhat rare) and watch the auctions for a
month or two. On the other hand, a lot of EV conversions that are sold
used are sold within the local EV community / EV clubs, etc... I have no
idea if those sales are for more or less than you'd see on Ebay.

If you're a member, click "completed listings" 'way down on the left column under "Show only". It'll show you what actually sold or didn't.
