Hello,
Attached is a flyer for the Incredible Years class. This is a wonderful class for parents (including birth, foster and relative caregivers) who want and/or need better parenting skills.
It starts in two weeks: Tuesday, January 24 from 6 to 8 pm. The class runs for 18-weeks so, it is a considerable time commitment, but totally worth it. A light meal for the family is included, along with FREE on-site child care. Families do not have to be involved with child welfare to participate.
If a parent is struggling with child behavior problems, and/or their own social issues it will really help. If I were a court official, attorney or social worker reading about this class and was dealing with a family that is seriously struggling with engagement, then I would not hesitate make attending this class mandatory. (This my personal opinion not the Spokane PAC's)
My family took the last class from September to December, and we definitely have made more positive changes in the way we interact together.
