The Spokane Parent Advocacy Committee wants you know about four important things:
- Our name is now Spokane Parent Advocacy Network
(SPAN). One of our mottos is "helping families bridge the gap between child
welfare and community." We still have monthly committee meetings, these will
be posted on www.facebook.com/Spokane.PAN Our next meeting is Wednesday, May 15 from
12:30 to 1:30 pm at the Spokane Regional Health District building, room 320
. - We are no longer offering mentoring and
Dependency 101 classes to parents. We are now referring parents involved with to
Spokane County's new Parents for Parents Program. Some of our members are
honored to be included in the development of this new service offered to
parents currently involved with a child dependency, i.e. CPS.
- We are looking for more parents to join our
growing network, attached are some recruitment materials. Our next membership orientation is Tuesday, May 14 from 11:30 to 12:30 pm at the Family of Faith Church at 708 W Nora Ave.
- We are hosting our third Reunification
Celebration on Saturday, July 13 from 12:30 to 2:30 pm in Mission Park. Attached
are some "Save the Date" materials. We hope to sell some t-shirts to support this event, stay tuned for details. Email us if you would like a donation letter.
We appreciate your support via Google Groups, however, emails via
