Hello lovely women's rights advocates!
I'm writing with a fun volunteer opportunity coming up next month. Please see details below.
VOLUNTEER JURORS NEEDED FOR MOCK TRIALS
Each year UW Law Students put on mock trials in order to gain courtroom experience and test out their skills. In order to provide them with a more realistic courtroom experience we’re recruiting volunteer jurors to attend the trials. These trials are held at the King County Courthouse, with real judges presiding at each trial.
As a volunteer juror you will be asked to listen carefully to both sides as the lawyers-in-training present their cases. You will then retire to the jury room for deliberation (just like in the movies!)
Don’t miss this unique opportunity to see courtroom drama close up!
Dates: Monday, March 4, 2013
Monday, March 11, 2013
Time: 5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Come for one trial evening, or both! Metro buses travel directly in front of the courthouse on Third Avenue, approximately every 10 minutes.
Come join us for a memorable learning experience!
If you are interested in participating, please contact Laurie Carlsson (Assistant to Professor Bill Bailey) at laur...@uw.edu, Room 328 Wm H Gates Hall, or 206-616-3920.
