Hi all!

 

You may have received this invitation yesterday, but wanted to make sure you knew!

 

Legal Voice is partnering again with the Seattle Storm on Opening Night!  We will hold a 50/50 raffle that day and cheer on the Storm in the first game of the season.

 

This is a great audience to increase our visibility.  They’re generally all supporters of women and girls in athletics, LGBT rights and some of our supporters are Storm season ticket holders. 

 

This event is very family friendly!  If you have not been to a Storm game – you should go.  They’re great fun and highly competitive.

Hi Michelle,     We want YOU to join us at the WNBA Seattle Storm's Opening Night!    Celebrate women's rights as we kick off the summer!   Legal Voice at Seattle Storm's Opening Night! Sunday, June 2, 2013, 6pm Seattle Storm v. Phoenix Mercury Key Arena, Seattle Center Tickets are $25 each or 5 for $100 and can be purchased here. We will be participating in a 50/50 raffle and cheering for the Seattle Storm!   Of course, we'll be pulling for the Storm to win - but we are also thrilled to have the chance to welcome Brittney Griner of the Phoenix Mercury to the WNBA!  Griner was the WNBA's top draft pick this year, as well as being an openly gay athlete.   We reached another milestone for equality in sports yesterday when the NBA's Jason Collins became the first gay male athlete in a major league sport to come out while an active player. We're thrilled to have reached a point where both male and female athletes feel safe to come out - a road paved by pioneering women like Martina Navratilova.  So let's start the summer with a party - cheer on the Storm, support Legal Voice's work, and celebrate our accomplishments together.
