Whenentering the salty water and feeling the pressure build as depths are approached is when survival depends on the legibility of the information. Bell & Ross diving watches offer the perfect solutions when exploring an environment that is as fascinating, as dangerous. The maritime expertise of the brand is born from the convergence of the knowledge and skills of designers, master watchmakers and underwater experts.

Each Bell & Ross watch is designed in harmony with the context in which it operates. In the diving world, Bell & Ross has developed measuring tools that are perfectly adapted to the sub-aquatic environment, and are the efficient companions of divers under any circumstance. Legible, practical, accurate, reliable and unique in their distinctive square shape, Bell & Ross watches meet the exacting requirements of professionals and also reflect the personality of those opting for an everyday use.

Only watches that meet the requirements defined by international standard ISO 6425 can be labeled as diving watches. The twelve-pages from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) on diving watches contain an exhaustive list of the essential qualities of a wristwatch designed to withstand diving in water at depths of at least 100 meters and possessing a system to control the time. The general requirements for a professional diving watch recognized as such by standard ISP 6425 are, among others, a minimum water resistance of 100 meters and the presence of a time preselection device (a 60-minute calibrated uni-directional rotating bezel), which is protected against accidental rotation or incorrect setting.

As part of its on-going quest for excellence, Bell & Ross has reworked the high-tech ceramic and developed a special manufacturing process in its workshops. It enhances the intrinsic qualities of this material, which is virtually scratch-proof, pleasant to wear, soft to the touch and thermo-regulated, instantly reaching body temperature when worn. Almost as tough as a diamond, the high-tech ceramic developed by Bell & Ross is incredibly hardwearing, non-deformable, lighter than steel and hypoallergenic.

Reminiscent of the antireflective finish used on aircraft instrument panels, the matte black ceramic is perfectly in tune with the aeronautical codes so fundamental

to Bell & Ross. The sober design, black dial, large white numerals, shape of the hands and photoluminescent coating allow immediate reading of the time, in broad daylight as well in darkness.

Not every watch can be a diver watch. Official regulations set out very specific criteria defining a true diving watch. The ISO 6425 standard lists a great number of obligatory technical parameters. Those include water-resistance to a minimum depth of 100 meters, the presence of a unidirectional rotating bezel with a graduated minutes scale, an operation indicator and luminescent markers, legibility in the dark, anti-shock and anti-magnetic protection.

Beyond its blue dial, rubber strap and aluminium insert on the bezel, this BR03-92 Diver Blue aims to achieve maximum readability with indices coated in white Super-LumiNova and a yellow hour hand. Underwater, the colours vanish one after the other due to the loss of light intensity. The yellow hour hand will therefore fade away to give precedence to the minute hand, which must be visible to ensure the diver's safety.

The Hydromax, which holds the world record for water resistance at 11,100 metres, signalled the brand's entrance into the world of diving in 1997. It was followed a decade later by the BR 02, water-resistant to 1000 metres, before the BR 03-92 Diver was launched as part of the family of instrument watches. Reliability proven with time.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS TO SWISS STANDARDS

With its olive drab tone, the BR 03-92 DIVER MILITARY mirrors the color of the military uniform of these men for whom discretion is the ultimate priority while in mission, and makes it a superbly camouflaged watch.

Bell & Ross - the ultimate reference in the world of professional aviation watches - is constantly striving for excellence. Each watch is designed in harmony with the context in which it operates. This spirit of innovation and quest for challenges could be seen in the DIVER collection that conquers ocean depths and meets all the requisite specifications of a true diving watch. Bell & Ross has developed measuring tools that are perfectly adapted to the sub-aquatic environment and are the efficient companions of divers under any circumstance.

Water-resistant to 300 meters and driven by a Swiss selfwinding mechanical movement with proven robustness and accuracy, this instrument tool meets the requirements defined by international standard ISO 6425. With its sophisticated design and uncompromised functionality, the new Bell & Ross diving watch is protected by a stainlesssteel case to withstand the rigors of underwater exploration. Screwed down to withstand the pressure at great depths, the crown of the BR 03-92 Diver is equipped with a guard that guarantees complete protection against impacts and optimal water resistance. The carefully designed crown is also fitted with a rubber insert for improved ergonomics. As a further guarantee of flawless water resistance, the sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating is an impressive 2.85 mm thick, compared to the 1.50 mm on the classic BR 03-92, as well as its reinforced steel case back.

A new instrument has been created which embodies the partnership between Bell & Ross and the Tara Ocean Foundation: the BR 03-92 Diver Tara, a diving watch which meets the needs of the crew on board Tara, the schooner and oceanographic explorer.

The Tara Foundation has a twofold mission: to explore the Ocean to ensure better understanding, and to share scientific knowledge about the Ocean to raise public awareness. Regularly facing dangerous conditions, the members of Tara's crew keep pushing the limits of the extreme. To do so, these experienced sailors and scientists have to be able to rely on instruments which remain precise and reliable in all circumstances.

In 1997, Bell & Ross unveiled the Hydromax, a precision tool which pushed the limits in the quest to conquer the deep. Designed with the same focus on excellence, the Diver BR 03-92 was released in 2017. This diving watch with the iconic circle in a square shape is designed for professionals who require the utmost reliability from their tools.

Part of the BR 03 Diver collection of professional diving watches, this limited edition of 999 pieces, water-resistant to 300 metres, features a 42-mm matt blue ceramic case with a unidirectional rotating ceramic bezel in blue and orange, with a 60-minute scale. To ensure perfect legibility of the indications, the blue metal dial has applique indexes and white graduations with a Super-LumiNova coating.

Bell & Ross opted to design an instrument watch capable of allowing the scientists on board the schooner Tara to complete their missions. A percentage of the profits from each watch sold will be donated to the Foundation.

Above all, like all the instrument watches in the BR 03 family from Bell & Ross, the new BR 03-92 DIVER WHITE BRONZE was conceived and designed as a professional quality tool for divers. Complying perfectly with all of these demanding specifications, the new BR 03-92 DIVER WHITE BRONZE is an underwater instrument worthy of its name according to Swiss standards.

Bronze watches are like fine wines: they evolve over time and acquire a patina unique to each wearer. The alloy used for the BR 03-92 DIVER WHITE BRONZE is CuSn8, composed of 92% copper and 8% tin. Its tone is visually quite close to the classic fittings of old sail boats and classic yachts, while overlapping with the types of bronze so prized today by contemporary designers and architects.
