LAUS PERENNIS

Hello Family and Friends, 

We continue to be blessed to forge ahead in our vocation of full time prayer.  We find it becoming increasingly clear that we have a continuity with thousands of years of monastics that sought the worth of Christ as demanding an expression of continual adoration.  The Body of Christ since the very early days has had various different expressions of night and day prayer, while many didn't necessarily go 24/7, there was a value for LAUS PERENNIS which means "perpetual psalmody" which was an expression of worship like King David's 24/7 worship tabernacle that continually sang the psalms to YHWH (1 Chron 6-25).  

Most protestant traditions have lost the value for perpetual praise, and our western christianity seems to becoming more man centered than God centered.  But God has an answer.... to get the eyes of the church back upon the Lamb who was slain until she is devastated by the cross all over again causing the normal appropriate response to Him.... that of perpetual praise and abandon service.  Jesus deserves to have a witness of worship on earth that mirrors that of heaven to give the nations a glimpse of what happens to a people who touch His unsearchable worth.  

I like to think that the great commission of making disciples of all nations in not just unto converts but unto mature disciples, and what is the end of discipleship?  The end result... the end goal... is LOVE.  A people so in love with Jesus that they voluntarily give everything they are and have to Christ in worship and service.  I can tell you clearly from the scriptures that the end of the great commission is that Jesus will be worshipped in every place incessantly and continuously on the earth all the time.  (Mal. 1:11; Acts 15:16-17; Is.16:5; Ps. 66; Ps. 96; Ps. 113:3; Is. 42:8-13. to name a few)
