late planting

We had some things that didn't come up like we hoped they would this
year and have some extra space in the garden right now. Any ideas as
to what we can plant at this time in the season? Any suggestions are
appreciated!

I have planted early green bush beans as late as July 15th and had great beans.  I even planted early red potatoes (Nordlands) on July 20th and had nice potatoes.  If you wait until the first part or mid August you can start planting Greens (kale, little green onions from seed, spinach, mache, etc..
