Prayer request! My sister Julia is leaving for Kenya today for 2
weeks. To give some background, she's in her second year of grad
school at PCOM in a Physicians Assistant (PA) program. Her and a group
of classmates are going to kenya in between rotations to run a week
long medical camp with a local hospital providing help and supplies to
the community in Nakuru. She'll also be enjoying a much deserved treat
of going on a 3 day safari in Maasai Mara.
Some areas of Kenya are dangerous and if youve been following the
news, there is some violence going on, mainly near the Somalian
border. As a result, more than half of the original group has dropped
out. Julia is committed to going and while they will be under the
supervision of security at all times, I still worry. Please pray for
her and her colleagues. That they are kept safe and healthy while they
are there. I don't know any of the other students going but I hope
that through acts of service like this, God will use them to reach out
to the people of Kenya.
