I'm pulling the changes below today and committing tonight, let me know if you have any objections to the general idea of each commit.

Setup instructions & files to use RVM and REE. Remove database yaml from git. Thanks rockrep (Michael Kintzer)!

StaticPages controller, css fixes, layout refactoring. Thanks glennr (Glenn Roberts)!

I'll also be pushing a massive update with features we did for a demo this past Tuesday, check it out!

Body: Hi Guys.  Let me know if this is off-base, but I thought I'd add some instructions for helping others get up and running (basically the steps I needed to do) and to help standardize on Ruby and Gems across the project using Ruby Version Manager.   Also, changed database.yml to be not tracked by GIT, so people can use DB other than SqlLite.   Again, if this is not valuable, or not desired, let me know and I'll revert in my fork.
