Hi,
It's been a while since our last update, and the database is spinning
up quite well in Rwanda (
resourcetracking.heroku.com). We've got lots
of interest and support from other countries to get moving on
customizing it for their needs, to help everyone get a better picture
of the health sector and improve transparency and accountability. We
have funding to take someone to Kenya and compensate them for their
time. The work would involve some initial customizations of the
application for the country, training stakeholders in agile, and
hopefully training / meeting with some local programmers as well. The
trip would be around the end of September into the beginning of
October, with some follow up work as well. Please let me and those
cc'd know if you're interested and we'll follow up with you! Really
looking forward to hearing from you.
We're really looking forward to focusing on training and building
capacity in Rwanda in software development starting around this coming
October, now that we have a functioning system to start from. I'll be
letting you know more about that in the next few weeks.
Cheers,
Greg
