Special AGM - Water Problem (Not a Problem for US but definitely for the management)

Many of you have already seen the notice for a Special General meeting to discuss the problem (Water) which doesn’t exist…..!!!!
To keep management (I shouldn’t use that words for them as their turn is already over in June 2015) and members of the evergreen family updated that we HAD the Water issue which was persisted for few weeks and that time without discussing & checked the same through expert people (Vendor) it has been communicated that the underground pipeline have damaged which required a project of REPLACEMENT (Another filthy project which hopefully will be the last, so let’s do it).
I should say a BIG thanks to few honest & technical people of our society who came together and checked the situation with the help of their industry sources. You won’t believe when they got to know that the pipeline we have such a good quality which can last for another 80 odd years. The only suggestion put across by Expert (Vendor) team to clear the society sewage line which seems to be blocked and can be a root of the issue. The same expert team has strongly advised to not go with a replacement of Pipe project at first instance as the minor step (Clearing down the sewage line) can drastically improve the quality of the water.
Society members have took the experts feedback to the respective people and to the management, but they have made their decision to go with the replacement. No bother how long people will suffer with the bacterial water as any project needs time of its different phases from initiation to closure.
At last when no one have interest to take the first step forward for mitigation then the same team of few people have took the responsibility to clear down the sewage system with their own money. And here we are, because of their dedication and focus towards to resolve the issue we are having much clean water. Eventually we could get the clean water much before if we took the small step at first places toward mitigation instead in turning into another filthy project.
Team of management has waited for a few weeks after the last episode and now again put across a plan on the notice board to discuss the same project as part of a special meeting called on 8th November 2015. We can feel their eagerness to go with another money making project. To keep them updated that members are not willing to pay unnecessary expenditure for those things which are in good shape and lasting for few more golden years.
Many of the members are unaware about the true fact with the initial water problem we had, so thought to keep them updated by sharing the exact information. Please understand the situation carefully and needless to say it’s a total waste of time and effort for the things which is working fine and under control. Most of the society members have already decided to boycott the meeting and now it’s up to you…

Dear residents
I think our society is running without any guardian. The pitty is that inspite of the fact that the residents are treated as orphans very few people are coming forward to raise the issues.
I fully agree with the genuine points raised by Mr Jayaraman.
The present management committee is playing double standard if we raise the genuine demands eg to repair manholes, drainage system etc. then they disown the responsibilty by saying that their term is over and next MC will take care. But if some issue is related to spending money on big project involving large amount then their right to call GB is genuine and show keen interest.
Residents now even doubt on their writing letter to Registrar Coop Societies for holding elections. In past the MC used to prepare the schedule of elections themselves and send copy to RCS for information. It shows their greediness to stick the MC for the reasons best known to them only. AS they are well aware that in next term residents will outrightly reject them because of their misdeeds.
They by hook or crook want to run the society illegally for their self hiding agenda.
They also want to teach lesson to residents by getting deteriorating the society infrastructure further as most of residents are not cooperating and not giving the monthly installments out of the fear that this illegitimate MC may spend the money on non productive works.
It is apprehended that this illegal MC will try to postpone the elections so that they may run society on proxy and lavishly spend the hard earned money of the residents.
The repair of intercom and manholes do not require much money. It is just can be meet from the expenditure as spent on running the AC in society office.
The administrator is requested to involve more residents in the group and also the name of sender of message should be known. One should not hide his name if the intentions is clear and for the benefit of the Society.
