RootsWeb sites down

I have checked some freepages.rootsweb.com and sites.rootsweb.com URLs
with two different browsers, i.e. Firefox and Microsoft Edge.

All of the historical RootsWeb sites (WWW, Freepages, and the Message
Boards) appear to be offline. Are any of you seeing anything different.

I got the same, could not connect. Did a check and it said maintenance so hopefully they are doing routine maintenance or upgrading and will be back tomorrow. I was able to use the 2 days ago.

I noticed that this morning too. Mine is still down just now. Mine are on the Wayback Machine but doesn't help with random searches of the archive.

I noticed the Rootsweb pages were down on Sunday. Was hoping it was just a weekend outage, but my pages are still down!

I'm getting a 520 error and a pretty picture showing my browser working plus Cloudflare working and sites.rootsweb.com has an error.

I am getting emails from google saying that access is denied to my site for indexing. They may have taken the sites down temporarily to make it so they cannot be indexed by search engines, which is a bummer.

New reason preventing your pages from being indexed

Search Console has identified that some pages on your site are not being indexed due to the following new reason:

Blocked due to access forbidden (403)

If this reason is not intentional, we recommend that you fix it in order to get affected pages indexed and appearing on Google.

I also have received an e-mail from Google saying the same thing! I did a random sampling of my pages and all loaded without issue! Time will tell!

Actually, the note says they cannot be indexed by Google. You can visit them but other people cannot find them.
