Charlie,

When messing around with the Olympics page, I found on trying the touch screen on a laptop here, that tapping the a:hover link opened it; while tapping elsewhere on the screen closed it. Checking on an Android mobile, the same happened.

Other than when using a mobile, I normally don't bother with touch screens; probably age related :-.
