Dear Developer,
Back in February, we informed you about upcoming trader verification requirements. We're now ready to roll these changes out to existing trader accounts, as part of our ongoing efforts to comply with EU regulations.
What this means for you:
- If your account is marked as a trader: You'll see a prompt to start the verification process the next time you sign in to the Developer Dashboard.
- Verification details: This includes verifying and publicly displaying a phone number, and if applicable, your organization's DUNS number, along with your physical address and contact email.
Timeline:
Starting now: All trader accounts must have initiated the verification process and submitted their details to access the Developer Dashboard.
For Individual Accounts:
- Legal name
- Legal address
- Contact phone number
- A government issued ID
- A document showing your name and current address
For Organization Accounts:
- Organization name
- Legal address
- Contact phone number
- Proof of business registration or a D-U-N-S number (it can take 30+ days to obtain one).
On February 3, 2025: All unverified trader accounts will be suspended, along with all published items associated with those accounts.
If you have any questions, you can contact developer support.
Thank you for your cooperation, and for your participation in the Chrome extension ecosystem!
