Those of you attending Josh's WFA course -

Since it is a two-day event and a bit of a drive for many, you are welcome to camp out overnight - either arrive Friday night or Saturday morning.  You can pitch a tent or park a trailer, or even throw a sleeping bag down in the (unheated) shop classroom.  We had three campers last year.  There was one person from Eastern Washington and another from Southern Oregon.  Maybe we'll have some from other states this year?

I'll fire up the BBQ for lunch on Sunday and cook burgers for the meat eaters if you toss a few bucks into the "broken stabilo fund" (broke a line during my last trip to fly at the coast). :)

Expect to learn a lot but also to have a good time.  If you haven't signed up yet, contact Josh Norris MA, WEMT, Geo Medic  541-680-3447  Josh....@oregonstate.edu

On a personal note, I used the certification from when I took this course last year to satisfy first aid and CPR requirements for the local school district.  (I signed up to be the head robotics coach for Corvallis High School in a moment of weakness.)  The district medical people all "ooohed and aaahed" when I told them I took the WFA class because that is considered more valuable than simple Red Cross first aid.  The other advantage is that the course has been modified for us pilots.

My address is 39101 Military Rd, Monmouth, OR 97361.
